I am a “gym rat,” born, raised and grew tall in the gymnastics gym. My parents were themselves gymnasts and coaches. This is my family, my home, my life and I LOVE IT!
I do my best to impress upon all gymnastics students that no matter what, we must LOVE what we do, experience it fully and unabashedly, work hard to be a little better today than we were yesterday. And above all else:
Play Hard!
[when this was written], I coach boys and girls gymnastics at Rising Star Gymnastics, in Monterey, CA. The athletes with whom I spend most of my time are the “Varsity” team, boys and girls levels 7-10. RSG is a member of NGA (National Gymnastics Association), and our gymnasts compete around the country throughout the season.
In 2023 they earned multiple national champion titles (New Orleans), became national team members, qualified to the national training camp (Tennessee); while yours truly was selected National Coach of the Year. Wow. Humbling. Now what?
